Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Job Description

    · Work with a diverse population providing group, individual, and couples/family therapy

    · Oversee a small team of dedicated professionals

    · Participate in a larger agency treatment team that is dynamic and supportive

    · Engage in community relations events and opportunities to build referrals and positive relationships

    · Utilize an EHR to document services

    · Master’s level licensure required (CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, AMFT, LMFT)

    · DV training preferred, but not required

    · Bilingual preferred, but not required

    Compensation

    Market competitive and negotiable. Pay will vary based on: licensure level, experience and relevant certifications held.
