The Facilities Planner will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to strategically expand our broadband network infrastructure.

Responsibilities and expectations may include, but not be limited to:

• Identifying and documenting aerial and buried cable route extensions, upgrades and replacement activities;
• Drawing, reading, and understanding staking sheets, map, geographical survey map and circuit designs;
• Complying with Federal RUS specifications for work performed by outside contractors and engineers;
• Opening work orders for new construction and assigning the associated work order numbers for those builds;
• Compiling and verifying final plant information to submit to Accounting department at the close of a project for all work orders;
• Assigning cable pairs in new cable and fiber strands for new plant;
• Utilizing CAD/GIS and Telecommunications Plant Assignment systems (Mapcom, NISC, and Calix);

Qualifications and desired skills or experiences include:

• A working knowledge of all outside plant telephone design;
• Demonstrated analytical reasoning ability;
• Ability to communicate with customers effectively and professionally;
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or a combination of education and telephony experience in engineering is required.

This is a safety sensitive position that requires a valid driver license, drug screening, and a background check.
