The Club at Crazy Mountain Ranch is a private membership experience set on 18,000 extraordinary acres in the state of Montana. Crazy Mountain Ranch is a project by Lone Mountain Land Company (LMLC) that manages the planning, entitlement, building, marketing, and sale of premier real estate communities around Big Sky, Montana.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant at Lone Mountain Land Company is responsible for performing accounting processes and functions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to all aspects of the accounting function. This position will report to the Senior Accountant.
This position has the ability to work out of our Bozeman office, but training is required on-site for the first three months of employment.

Job Duties

Manage assigned accounts receivable - process and post invoices and receipt of payments

Manage assigned accounts payable - requires working with department managers, purchasing agents and vendors/contractors to ensure proper receipt of goods/services and lien waivers, and the timely processing of invoices

Maintain and update AR & AP databases as needed.

Correspond with and respond to all member and vendor inquiries

Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies

Reconcile bank and investment accounts

Reconcile various balance sheet accounts

Assist in month end closing and related financial reporting

Provide reports to VP’s/Directors as requested

Respond to Interim and Year-end Financial Audit requests for your area

Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy, accepted accounting practices, and the IRS

Responsible for special projects, such as preparing 1099 forms, assisting with the yearly audit, and the preparation and payment of property taxes

Assist with other projects and general office support tasks as needed

Ability to quickly learn enterprise level accounting systems (GP, QuickBooks, Caliber) and use advanced MS Excel functions to accomplish essential job duties
Skills & Competencies
-
Previous administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable or general accounting experience is required.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to quality and detail.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
