CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER manages the collection and analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER provides advanced analyses and reports on clinical outcomes data. Evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER identifies areas for improvement and assists leaders/physicians in developing strategies to improve performance. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a director. The CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a CLINICAL OUTCOMES MANAGER typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary

    The Clinical Operations Residency is a post-graduate program offering experience in MTM program administration. The resident will learn how pharmacists can impact the quality and rising cost of healthcare by providing patient-oriented medication therapy management (MTM) services.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain clinical rules for the Insightâ„¢ Clinical Engine
    • Implement and maintain clinical programs in accordance with clinical guidelines and CMS regulations
    • Gain experience and be a Clinical liaison in the following areas:
      • Quality assurance
      • Data management
      • Sales and marketing
      • Research
      • Network training and support
    • Co-manage clients from a clinical perspective
      • Attend calls, pull supporting reporting as applicable
      • Assist in delivery of call follow-ups, answer client questions
    • Participate in national industry meetings, trade shows, and client visits, as needed
    • Complete project and present final analysis at the IPA Annual Meeting

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the United States, Iowa preferred (must be licensed within 120 days of hire date)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, assignments, and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solution-oriented
  • Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization, demonstrating professionalism and good judgment at all times

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Minimum level of education or education/experience: Doctorate
      • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy,
      • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the United States, Iowa preferred (must be licensed within 120 days of hire date)
