The Role

In this role, you will support the analytical development of Moderna’s mRNA-based clinical pipeline.

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Become proficient in a wide range of biophysical analysis methods

• Perform and develop biophysical and particle characterization assays

• Develop and transfer analytical methods with high-quality documentation

• Perform data analysis and trending

• Maintain a high standard of documentation and report writing

• Collaborate with functional partners

• Implement and apply novel analytical biophysical methods

• Present and interpret results at internal meetings

• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelors in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or a related discipline with 0-2 years of relevant industry experience

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

• Technical experience in the following areas is desirable: Biopharmaceutical analysis, protein science, physical biochemistry, analytical chemistry, nanoparticle characterization

• Basic laboratory capabilities, such as pipetting and buffer preparation

• Experience with biophysical techniques is desirable (e.g. spectroscopy, particle sizing, calorimetry, light scattering)

• Exceptional oral communication skills

• Ability to effectively document and communicate results

• Strong interpersonal skills with an eagerness to support colleagues across the organization and a demonstrated aptitude for team and employee development

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
