Job Description:
The successful Research Associate candidate will work collaboratively with our CyDex’s team at Lawrence, Kansas. This is a full-time, entry-level laboratory-based hands-on position that offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in drug development. The candidate is expected to be able to execute analytical and formulation experiments according to plans and protocols with appropriate supervision.
CyDex, a Ligand company, is a biopharmaceutical company that partners with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry on drug discovery programs primarily focused on ion channel and membrane transporter targets.

Essential Role Responsibilities

Candidates will also be expected to contribute to laboratory support duties that are associated with operating a productive pharmaceutical industry research group

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional associations/groups/memberships
Required Experience:
-
BS degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline with 3-5 years relevant experience required. MS and 0-3 years relevant experience preferred.

Basic laboratory knowledge.

Experience with analytical sciences is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication, record keeping skills (with strong attention to detail)
