Research Coordinator.

The Research Coordinator will support a study of housing recovery following the August 2021 earthquake in Haiti. The position will provide primary research support for tasks related to review of technical drawings and field observations and the synthesis of relevant literature relevant to housing recovery in Haiti. The research coordinator is expected to work as part of a team based in the U.S. and Haiti through collaborations with other Notre Dame researchers and colleagues at GeoHazards International to meet the expectations of the project sponsor, the World Bank.
Analysis of field survey data: (1) Quality assurance, recording and processing of field assessments of TCLA homes; benchmarking implemented details against base designs for extraction of key insights and case studies.; (2) Support all phases of program evaluation and research studies, including study design, sampling, quantitative and qualitative data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, and reporting.
Desk review: Synthesis of literature, reports and transcripts to extract key insights and themes; assembly of evidence base to support recommendations.
Report development: Drafting of narrative language and visuals for World Bank Report and review of report; responding to comments and requests from World Bank in report review and finalization.
This is a limited term position. There is a preferred candidate for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree or Bachelors degree (5 years) or advanced certification beyond Bachelors.
Basic qualitative and quantitative research skills, past experience or formal training in program or policy evaluation, past experience or formal training in engineering (structural or mechanical engineering).
