A clinical research finance manager is responsible for managing the financial aspects of clinical trials, including developing and monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, generating invoices to sponsors, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial analysis to support research decision-making, all while maintaining the financial integrity of clinical research projects. Key responsibilities of a clinical research finance department include:

• Budget development and management: Creating detailed budgets for clinical trials, allocating costs across different study components, and tracking expenditures against the budget to identify potential overspending.
• Contract negotiation: Reviewing and negotiating financial terms with study sponsors, including payment milestones, reimbursement rates, and contract amendments.
• Invoice generation and submission: Preparing and submitting invoices to sponsors based on study progress and agreed-upon terms, ensuring timely payment.
• Financial reporting: Generating regular financial reports for study teams and leadership, including analysis of costs, revenue, and profitability.
• Financial forecasting: Predicting future financial performance of clinical trials based on data analysis, including potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Internal controls: Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard research funds and prevent financial irregularities.
• Collaboration with research teams: Working closely with clinical research coordinators, investigators, and study teams to understand project needs and provide financial guidance.
• General Accounting: Oversees all aspects of clinical research finances, including AP/AR, pay study participants, etc.

Assist owner with a variety of financial and operational tasks as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,893.00 - $75,622.00 per year
