Clinical Research Manager manages the clinical monitoring process and the administration of clinical trials. Supervises CRAs in in-house and on-site monitoring, filing, and clinical trial administration. Being a Clinical Research Manager oversees adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Helps with the development and implementation of clinical processes, procedures, and programs. Additionally, Clinical Research Manager may require a master's degree in nursing. May require ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Professional exam completion. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Research Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Research Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Shift: Days

    Pay: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

    The UCHealth Northern Colorado Research Program is seeking an individual with a passion for clinical research with expertise in Trauma, Critical Care, and/or Emergency Medicine to advance and support research endeavors at UCHealth facilities in northern Colorado as a Research Coordinator. The UCHealth Research Team improves lives through transformational health research.

    Position will be responsible for serving as a delegated member of the research team on a wide range of clinical trials and other clinical research studies. Individual will support industry clinical trials, retrospective clinical research, and investigator-initiated research across multiple specialties.

    Preferred candidates will have experience in the conduct of clinical research, specifically clinical trials, as well as expertise in specialty areas of trauma, surgery, acute care, inpatient hospital operations, and/or emergency medicine.

    Successful candidates will have a passion for clinical research, be detail-oriented, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be adept at learning new technologies, possess a strong collaborative attitude, and have highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    Summary:Coordinates the administrative and clinical aspects of research projects.

    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborates with principal investigator, sponsor and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols. Monitors and reports on progress of projects as necessary.
    • Assesses eligibility of potential subjects through methods such as screening interviews, reviews of medical records, and discussions with physicians and nurses. Performs specific protocol procedures such as interviewing subjects, taking vital signs, and performing electrocardiograms.
    • Coordinates with investigator to manage adverse events, compliance and other participant-related issues. Facilitates the education of necessary parties such as participants, sponsors and clinicians involved in service delivery.
    • Implements and oversees the study's compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Assists with responding to and preparing for audits.
    • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 2 years of experience coordinating clinical research studies and clinical trials, or 2 years of experience in data management and knowledge of IRB clinical research application procedures.
    • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
