Job Summary:
The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer is responsible for evaluating the quality and effectiveness of clinical care provided by our Wound Care Providers. This role involves conducting thorough reviews of patient records, analyzing clinical data, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with established standards and protocols. The goal is to enhance patient care quality, improve clinical outcomes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Record Review:
Conduct comprehensive reviews of patient medical records to assess the quality and appropriateness of care.
Identify deviations from established clinical guidelines and standards.
Document findings and provide detailed reports on quality issues and areas for improvement.
Data Analysis:
Analyze clinical data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern.
Utilize statistical tools and software to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical interventions.
Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
Collaborate with compliance officers to address and resolve identified issues.
Education and Training:
Provide education and training to healthcare staff on quality care standards and best practices.
Develop training materials and conduct workshops or seminars as needed.
Support the professional development of clinical staff through mentorship and guidance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of quality and safety.
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to share findings and recommend solutions.
Participate in quality committees and contribute to policy development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold an active RN or LPN license.
Clinical Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience in quality management, clinical auditing, or a related role.
Skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in healthcare quality measurement tools and software.
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., JCAHO, CMS).

Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional opportunities to work from home.
