The CDI Assistant Director will work at a 175 bed hospital known for its patient-focused care. This medical facility prides itself on giving patients access to the latest technologies to provide the most accurate diagnoses and was recently voted one of the safest hospitals in the area. This approach makes this hospital one of the most popular medical centers in the area.
The CDI Assistant Director will support and facilitate the overall quality improvement process of medical record documentation by improving clinical documentation's completeness, accuracy, and reliability. They will work closely with medical providers and educate them on improved processes and feedback to accurately reflect patient care in the medical record. In partnering with the coding team, this resource will be an expert with ICD content and a leader in physician education and engagement.
Their primary responsibility will be to obtain appropriate clinical documentation through an extensive review of provider, nursing staff, ancillary, and documentation to ensure that appropriate reimbursement is received for the level of services rendered to patients. The Clinical Documentation Integrity Assistant Director will ensure the clinical information utilized in profiling and reporting outcomes is complete and accurate and plays a crucial role in a number of accreditation and regulatory mandates for the hospital.
