We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at Gaul Granite & Marble. As a CNC Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the precision and quality of our stone products. Your expertise in operating CNC machinery, AlphaCAM software, and CAD will be instrumental in crafting beautiful and durable stone pieces that meet the highest standards.
We are actively seeking candidates on the island of Hawai'i, preferably on the Hilo side, but we are also open to considering applicants who are willing to commute to our Kea'au Shipman location or willing to relocate to the Big Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines using AlphaCAM software to cut, shape, and finish stone products according to project specifications.
- Utilize CAD software for design and programming of CNC machines.
- Load and unload stone materials onto CNC machinery, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain precision and quality.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in a stone or marble fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machinery, including experience with AlphaCAM software.
- Strong CAD skills for design and programming.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Knowledge of stone materials, cutting tools, and CNC programming is a plus.
- Physical strength and ability to lift heavy stone materials (50 lbs).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong work ethic and a dedication to safety.
- Diploma in mechanical operations or engineering preferred.
