    As the Compliance Officer here's the work you'll do:
    • Design, establish, and oversee a comprehensive compliance program that ensures the organization's adherence to all legal and contractual obligations, with a specific focus on engineering-construction projects. This includes developing policies, procedures, and controls to manage risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Conduct regular and thorough compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization's operations. Develop and oversee the implementation of corrective action plans to address and mitigate identified risks, ensuring continuous improvement of the compliance framework.
    • Provide expert advice on legal and regulatory matters related to engineering-construction projects, including the interpretation of regulations, and the drafting, negotiation, and management of contracts. Act as a key consultant for project teams to ensure all phases of construction sequencing are compliant with relevant laws and standards.
    • Lead initiatives to educate and train employees on compliance standards, policies, and best practices. Foster a culture of compliance within the organization by promoting awareness and understanding of legal obligations and the importance of ethical conduct and risk management.
    • Collaborate with various internal departments and external stakeholders to effectively communicate compliance issues, strategies, and changes. Serve as the liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies, managing any inquiries, audits, or investigations related to compliance matters.
    • Stay informed about changes in the regulatory landscape that could affect the organization's operations, particularly in the engineering-construction sector and federal contracting. Continuously review and enhance compliance programs and practices to adapt to new regulations, mitigate risks, and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of compliance excellence.
    This role is for you if you have these skills:
    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resources allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with associates, direct reports, clients, and vendors.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    And if you have these qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5 years of experience in industry, preferably Federal A/E Construction focused
    • Certified Ethics and Compliance Professional (CCEP), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) ,Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC-C), JD (Juris Doctor) preferred
    • Bar Admission preferred but not required.
    • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.

    In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $86,800-$130,200 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
