BARISTA Overview of Job
Baristas are responsible for contributing to the company’s success by providing exceptional customer service to all customers. This includes providing prompt service, quality beverages and maintaining and clean and positive work environment. Baristas are expected to embody and represent the Nine Line company culture and brand image at all times while ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures.

● Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for the customer.

Essential Functions
● Consistently demonstrate the Nine Line brand standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve sales goals.
● Perform quick and accurate register transactions while adhering to company standards and policies.
● Contribute to a positive team environment by effectively communicating with coworkers and treating one another with kindness and respect.
● Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all product offerings including beverages, food, packaged coffee, accessories, and apparel.
● Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure a working environment that is up to standard with company policy and health department requirements.
● Receive, inspect, and stock all supplies and retail products upon arrival.
● Proactively resolve customer concerns in a manner that is consistent with company policies. Collaborate with store leadership on elevated issues.
Work Environment
● This job operates in a typical coffee shop setting in addition to some time spent in a warehouse environment. Baristas will be required to work with various equipment including espresso machines, grills, POS hardware, and other coffee shop machines.
Physical Demands
● This position requires long periods of standing and walking, ability to lift and move up to 50lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
● This position is full-time and part-time. Workdays are Monday-Saturday with working hours of 6:00am-7:00pm. Full-time baristas are expected to work 40 hours a week. Part-time baristas are expected to work 15-30 hours a week.
Travel
● Travel is very minimal with the exception of occasional events.
Required Education and Experience
● Barista experience is preferred but not required
