Fiddleheads Coffee is looking for an individual with a background in carpentry, electrical work, or plumbing. Our ideal candidate will have general mechanical knowledge in order to perform maintenance across our 8 cafes.
The Head of Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the operational functionality of all building and equipment-related functions within our organization. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle service-related calls, manage preventative maintenance, and ensure the optimal condition of facilities and equipment. The position also involves coordinating with contractors, managing inventory, and guiding team members through various projects.
Your schedule will be full-time.
You will be responsible for:
All service-related calls and requests with regards to all building and equipment functions. (On Call)
All preventative maintenance related tasks
Centralized chemicals and ordering
Stocking and ordering replacement parts for commonly used items
Calling and communicating with all contractors
Installation of equipment
On call replacement of machines
Furniture ordering
Installation of non essential features
Discarding old equipment and broken furniture
Ensuring backups of equipment are in usable condition
Walk through/demonstration of cafes to new managers
Creating and filling out documentation for preventative maintenance procedures when getting new equipment, cross referencing owner's manuals and manufacturers recommendations
Communicating with manufacturers and distributors
All hardware, and technology within cafes
The use of Treatlife, Lutron, Sonos, CloudCover, and AV systems
Guiding and delegating small projects to managers and team leads, (instructing on what should be done and walk through the projects so they can accomplish on their own.)
Assisting with painting, trim, and aesthetic attributes of cafes
