The Merchandising Services Field Manager is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all Non-Perishable Brand Merchandising standards within the dedicated territory. Identifies shelf-level issues and drives resolution upstream to create systemic resolution. Will provide training and guidance on Brand Non-Perishable Merchandising standards to Center Store Specialists; providing support where performance challenges exist. Will be the field lead for all Brand Assortment Initiatives providing input on project scopes, fixture development, process design, and business case development .
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Brand Merchandising Standards
- Responsible for ensuring Non-Perishable Brand Merchandising standards including POG execution, Item capacity, Cover & Spread, & Disco execution processes
- Reviews cycle execution across ever changing sample set of stores and provides feedback on execution compliance, in-store preparedness, and overall cycle execution success
- Liaison between the Cycle Implementation Team and the Brand helping to resolve field conditions issues preventing cycle completion including incorrect fixtures, incorrect store conditions, F2 plan discrepancies, and POG build issues
- Assortment lead for new and remodeled stores, helping to identify and resolve punch list issues associated with Non-Perishable merchandising plans
- Conducts wholistic site visits, walking total store to provide Merch Services feedback on total F2 alignment, special project execution, and overall store conditions
- Identifies execution issues that stem from upstream process issues and works cross-functionally to resolve the root cause to create a systemic resolution
Brand Standards Training & Education
- Responsible for training all Center Store Specialist (CSS) on Brand Non-Perishable Merchandising standards ensuring all new CSS are trained and refreshers are provided to all at least 1X per year
- Provide feedback to Store Managers & CSSs on site visits, providing insight on compliance opportunity areas and capturing feedback on potential upstream issues
Strategic Project Support
- Field lead for Assortment Special Projects
- Partners with Merch Services teams members to help develop special project scopes, build business cases, and define timelines
- Leads educating store & implementation teams on special project goals and timelines
- Monitors execution planning and provide project team updates highlighting any known risks to completion
- Provides input on fixture selections based on field experience and existing fixture pros & cons
- Develop playbooks, guidelines and presentations in support of special project planning, communication, and execution
- When appropriate, this role will be assigned special project lead with the goal of enhancing skill set for further growth
Assortment Analytics Support
- Partner with category teams on assortment efficiency work with a focus on profitability, inventory management, and capacities
- Monitor assortment project results with use of CAO reporting and Power BI reporting systems
- Develop reporting to support merchandising initiatives in Non-Perishables.
Other
- Provides weekly recap cycle reset & special project look ahead to CSS
- Leverage Blue Yonder Planogram system to support assortment implementation, provide pre-cycle route cause analysis, and problem solve merchandising execution opportunities
- Capable of using POG Viewer/Floorplan Viewer in support of Non-Perishable standards review and training
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of multiple retail location responsibility

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

100% travel required, with 8-12% overnight

Knowledge of Non-Perishable product categories

Experience reading and understanding planograms and floorplan

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs

Physical - Ability to lift, push, or pull 50lbs

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Motivated, dependable and self-directed

The starting salary for this position is $104,400 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
