Collateral Manager leads a team of appraisers conducting assessments, valuations, and appraisal reviews of real estate, land, and other personal property to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Establishes processes for conducting on-site inspections of property and data collection required to perform valuations. Being an Collateral Manager follows generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Ensures appraisal documentation and appraiser certification comply with all regulations. Additionally, Collateral Manager performs appraisal quality reviews to ensure appropriate valuation and minimize risk. Creates process efficiencies with appraisal software tools and databases. May require a bachelor's degree. Has the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRPA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a director. The Collateral Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Collateral Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC Position Summary The Collateral Servicing Specialist is responsible for requesting collateral from the custodian, intake of collateral files, handling tasks related to production of lien releases/satisfactions, subordinations, partial releases, CEMAs, assignments of mortgage, allonges and ad hoc document requests.   Primary Responsibilities Work directly with document custodians to request the release of original collateral documentation and monitor to ensure timely release Ensure all original documentation is tracked Research and resolve inquiries related to lien releases/satisfactions, subordinations, partial releases, CEMAs and ad hoc documentation Perform pre-execution audit of lien release/satisfaction documents, subordinations, partial releases, CEMAs, assignments of mortgage and allonges prior to submission for execution Maintain working knowledge of state, client and investor guidelines or updates Identify enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiencies Identify potential issues or concerns and participate in a solution; including recommending and developing new policies and procedures Assist with additional projects or tasks as needed   Qualifications Required: 1 years of experience in Mortgage Servicing Knowledge of mortgage servicing documents Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office products Strong oral and written communication skills Problem-solving skills, identify issues and concerns and participate in solutions Able to multitask Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a team environment   Desired: Experience with lien releases/satisfactions, subordinations, partial releases, CEMAs, assignments of mortgage, and allonges Experience using LPS mortgage servicing platform Experience with reading legal descriptions and understanding chain of title   RoundPoint’s Employee Value Proposition: Grow.
