Our client is seeking a Collections Specialist to join their fast-growing and fast-paced organization. As a Collections Specialist you must have the ability to deal with challenging situations while maintaining compliance with strict debt collection guidelines. The ability to multitask and work independently is essential in this fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.

As a Collections Specialist you will be an initiative-taker, a multitasker who works well under pressure and follows through on tasks. We are looking for a devoted team member who leads by example, keeps the team focused on priorities and results, and keeps the team apprised of any changes.

COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES

· Locate debtors using basic and advanced skip-tracing tools.

· Identify assets for garnishment and/or execution.

· Communicate with third parties to acquire debtors' location information.

· Search private databases, public records, and the internet.

· Review and analyze credit applications and various reports.

· Verify debtor information.

· Diary debtors' accounts for the subsequent action while documenting accounts thoroughly.

· Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.

· Comply with all firm policies and procedures.

· Must have excellent analytical, research, investigative, and organizational skills.

COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

· 2 years of collections experience preferably in a legal setting.

· Strong attention to detail

· High school diploma or equivalency

· Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft office

· Strong communication skills both written and verbal
