As a Collections Specialist you must have the ability to deal with challenging situations while maintaining compliance with strict debt collection guidelines. COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES
· Locate debtors using basic and advanced skip-tracing tools.
· Identify assets for garnishment and/or execution.
· Communicate with third parties to acquire debtors' location information.
· Search private databases, public records, and the internet.
· Review and analyze credit applications and various reports.
· Verify debtor information.
· Diary debtors' accounts for the subsequent action while documenting accounts thoroughly.
· Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
· Comply with all firm policies and procedures.
· Must have excellent analytical, research, investigative, and organizational skills.
COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS
· 2 years of collections experience preferably in a legal setting.
· Strong attention to detail
· High school diploma or equivalency
· Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft office
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal
