    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    The Director of Recruiting at Kentucky Mountain Bible College (KMBC) is responsible for leading and managing the recruitment of students who align with KMBC's Christ-centered mission. This position will play a critical role in identifying, recruiting, and guiding qualified students through the enrollment process while maintaining KMBC's high standards for student success and spiritual growth.

    The Director will conduct market analysis, leverage data to drive recruitment efforts, and develop strategic recruitment plans. In addition, they will oversee outreach efforts, represent KMBC at college fairs and community events, and establish strong relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, and key influencers. The Director will also manage a team to enhance the prospective student experience, ensuring all touchpoints align with KMBC's mission.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of higher education/admissions experience

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's Degree and 3 years of experience

    Job Duties:

    • Identify and recruit undergraduate and graduate students to the college.
    • Counsel prospective students, families and others regarding admissions and enrollment processes.
    • Develop, coordinate and execute recruitment strategies and provide support for key recruitment initiatives.
    • Work in cooperation and collaboration with other departments and complete all other duties as assigned.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Student Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and counsel prospective undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them through the admissions and enrollment process.
    • Strategy Development: Design and implement recruitment strategies that support KMBC’s mission and enrollment goals.
    • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong connections with prospective students, families, school counselors, and community organizations.
    • Communication Management: Utilize CRM and other tools to manage communications, track progress, and ensure prompt follow-up with prospective students.
    • Team Leadership: Lead a team of admissions staff to deliver excellent service and ensure all recruitment activities reflect KMBC's core values.
    • Event Representation: Represent KMBC at state, regional, and national college fairs, as well as community events, to expand recruitment outreach.
    • Operational Oversight: Ensure high standards in all recruitment touchpoints, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
    • Collaboration: Work cross-departmentally to support recruitment initiatives and KMBC-hosted events.

    Requirements

    • Faith Commitment: Must agree with and sign KMBC's Statement of Faith and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
    • Church Involvement: Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church is expected.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across various mediums (phone, email, social media, in-person).
    • Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service, ensuring a positive experience for all prospective students and their families.
    • Flexibility: Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, and participate in events outside of normal hours.
    • Professional Appearance: Must maintain a neat and professional appearance, representing the college appropriately in all interactions.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and engage with prospective students for extended periods, as well as move between different areas throughout a typical workday.
    • Multitasking Ability: Exceptional ability to multitask and accurately follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Conflict Resolution Skills: Ability to address and resolve conflicts or challenges that arise during the recruitment process.
