  • Our client is a local community bank looking to bring on an Agriculture / Commercial Loan Officer to inherit an Ag/Commercial loan portfolio due to an upcoming retirement. This position comes with excellent growth opportunity as this bank prefers to promote from within. Our client is located in west-central North Dakota.

    Position Overview:

    This Ag / Commercial Loan Officer role will inherit client relationships from an experienced loan officer who is looking to retire in the next couple years. The right candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing these client relationships to assist in securing various agriculture, commercial, small business, and other credits. Your existing knowledge of local farming practices combined with gained skills in loan origination, credit analysis, and customer service will be instrumental in guiding clients through the loan process and ensuring their financial needs are met while limiting the bank's exposure. Excellent compensation package offered. This bank is willing to adjust comp based on experience.

    Responsibilities:

    - Meet with current and prospective clients to assess their loan needs and provide expert advice on available loan options

    - Collect and review financial documents from clients to determine their eligibility for loans

    - Evaluate loan applications and conduct credit analysis to determine the risk level and recommend appropriate loan terms

    - Collaborate with management team to ensure timely processing and approval of loans

    - Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

    - Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, addressing any concerns or questions from clients

    - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices

    Requirements:

    - 3 year's experience in the local ag community (prior lending experience preferred but not required)

    - Preferred knowledge of loan origination processes and credit analysis

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
