Being a Commercial Loan Officer approves loans within established limits or presents to loan committee for approval. Monitors and maintains existing commercial loan portfolio. Additionally, Commercial Loan Officer adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal risk and operating policies and procedures. May assist senior loan officers with larger or more complex loans. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Commercial Loan Officer work is closely managed. We are currently seeking a Commercial Loan Processor to join our Business Services Operations team. You will work directly with the Business Services Officers and commercial lending clients to provide excellent member service in the business loan closing process and on-going record keeping process. You will provide on-going, complex administrative support for business members, and for providing general support and assistance to BSOs. You are assigned tasks are generally complex in nature requiring broad experience, member services skills, ability to work independently and make decisions, and general knowledge of CU’s lending policies and practices.
To thrive in this role, you should have three to five years of similar or related experience and an Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent professional experience. This position is one part administration and one part internal customer service. This might be the role for you if you enjoy work requiring organizational skills, multitasking, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
Key Skills and Experience:
Prior experience with commercial loan clients and business banking services which may involve NCUA regulations and generally accepted commercial lending practices.
Must be familiar with Laser Pro documentation; understand real estate title insurance/binders.
Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information, and handle problem resolution.
Represent the organization professionally in conduct and personal appearance.
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.
Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment.
Ability to work with legal documents and identify/interpret data as needed.
