    SUMMARY: Compiles, prepares, and verifies documentation for commercial loans.
    Acts as a backup for consumer loan processing requests. Works in conjunction with
    Credit Department, Commercial Lenders, other Loan Processors, and Loan Servicing.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Prepares documentation needed for commercial loans.
    • Reviews completed loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
    • Primary for ordering of title work, appraisal, flood certifications, certificate of good standings, etc. as needed.
    • Performs follow-up work necessary to ensure bank’s security interests are not at risk (lien’s perfected, filings, UCC continuations and terminations, insurance, property tax, mortgage recordings, title insurance policies, etc.).
    • Prepares documentation needed for consumer loans as necessary.
    • Performs closings on commercial loans for commercial lenders if necessary.
    • Prepares ticket work/BTE forms for processing of loans.
    • Disburses funds for commercial loans after closings as directed by Lender.
    • Notifies the Lender promptly of potential problems.
    • Prepares and maintains document and collateral files.
    • Assists with verbal and written requests from customers regarding their loan accounts.
    • Processes closed loans and collateral releases
    • Prepares correspondence and reports as requested.
    • Interacts with other processing department personnel to ensure uninterrupted workflow to all department functions.
    • Maintains UCC continuations and processes UCC terminations
    • Completes post-closing review & loan documentation review checklists
    • Ensures documentation related to commercial lending is imaged
    • Provide support to Lenders as requested
    • Act as a backup to the Senior Loan Processor as necessary
    • Complete quality control for closed commercial loans as necessary
    • Assist with file pull for audits and exams as needed and requested
    • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current driver’s license.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to navigate effectively in Excel and
    Microsoft Word. Good interpersonal skills and being a team player are essential.
    Knowledge of loan documentation is helpful.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to meet the requirements as stated in the Honor Bank handbook.
