What’s the role?
Join Gent Commodity, a thriving company making waves in the global commodity trading arena, as we expand our team in Houston, TX. We are seeking multiple entry-level traders to embark on an exciting journey of physical and paper trading across North America and global markets. The role will consist of trading physical and financial products associated with energy, metals, and agriculture. We are looking for ambitious, self-driven individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess exceptional communication skills, and exhibit a strong ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough research and analysis on gasoline, including gathering market data, tracking trends, and assessing supply and demand dynamics.
· Coordinate and execute buying and selling activities for gasoline, ensuring efficient and profitable transactions.
· Analyze global market trends and regional differences in product pricing and availability, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiating terms of contracts and ensuring timely delivery of commodities.
· Formulate and implement hedging strategies for commodity futures and financial derivatives, managing positions to mitigate risk and maximize returns.
· Collaborate with team members to generate comprehensive reports and insights, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
· Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering strong business relationships.
· Uphold the company's reputation through ethical and transparent dealings with customers and suppliers.
· Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic trading environment.
Desired Qualifications:
· Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis (H-1B visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis).
· Bachelor’s degree or above (Physical Sciences, Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, or related fields preferred).
· Recent graduates from top-tier institutions with 0-3 years of work experience are highly encouraged to apply.
· Self-motivated, diligent, and capable of making quick decisions under pressure.
· Willingness to learn with a proactive attitude.
· Strong business sense, analytical mindset, and critical thinking skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with teammates and clients.
Salary and Benefits:
· Annual package of $120,000 USD with bonuses for outstanding performance.

Work Environment: The work environment is in a typical office setting.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (subject to changes). Additional hours may be required based on company needs.
Travel: Business travel may be required at times.
