Position: Buyer

Employee Type: Full-Time (1st Shift)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•Under limited supervision, procures raw materials, goods, and services at the lowest possible cost consistent with accepted standards of quality and service to meet company cost and schedule targets.

•Responsible to conduct all business in an ethical manner. Along with FAR/DAR/ITAR requirements.

•Responsible to assist, help other department personnel determine the most suitable product or service to meet their needs considering the objectives of the entire organization.

•It is the responsibility of the Buyer to follow-up or expedite orders to see that they are delivered as scheduled.

•It is the responsibility of the Buyer to resolve discrepancies or negotiate settlements to the best possible long-term advantage of this organization.

•Support New Business Bid opportunities as required by the Supply Chain Manager.

•An ability to network with suppliers and having insight in suppliers’ processes.

•Working from MRP Signals, check demand to assure for completeness and clarity. Obtain necessary missing information where required.

•Execute Purchase Orders in the ERP system for proper MRP alignment.

•Maintain proper Inventory & Execute Orders for all shipping materials.

•Assist in Identifying best sources.

•Obtain and analyze bids in accordance with established policies and procedures.

•Prepare purchase orders or other agreements as necessary and check them for accuracy and completeness before issuing.

•Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplier to the best possible advantage for this organization.

•Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules.

•Keep the VP of Operations informed of all activities or problems and submit reports as requested by management.

Qualifications:
•Good Verbal & written communication skills

•Ability to utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

•Work well in a Team Environment

•Experienced Using ERP & MRP systems

•Experience 2 Years in Aerospace manufacturing
