PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Communications Managing Editor shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position is responsible for leading the Communications Department editorial team, communicating corporate messaging, and providing communication support to internal audiences of The Navigators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. Knowledge of Navigator missions, ministries, and networks is preferred.
Experience: This role requires at least five years of experience in a related communications field. This role also requires strong organization and time management skills.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook is required. Experience with video conferencing software such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams is required. Experience with Google Docs, OneDrive, or similar file sharing system preferred.
Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required. Strong writing, editing, and proofing abilities required.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in mass communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation Range: $52,000 - $65,000 annually
