Position Summary: As the Outreach and Community Engagement Specialist, you will serve as an advocate and liaison to the optometric and primary care referring provider network to promote high quality coordinated care. Prior healthcare experience is highly preferred, especially in the Ophthalmology field. You should be able to communicate professionally, be comfortable working in a medical environment, be highly organized, have a strong customer service background, possess excellent computer and organizational skills, and embody a welcoming/friendly demeanor. There is a considerable amount of travel required within your assigned territory.

Job Duties & Essential Functions:

• Build strong provider relationships within an assigned territory
• Maintain protocols for visiting established and new referring providers according to practice guidelines
• Assist in the coordination of continuing education functions, events for the community network, and community events
• Provide ongoing educational support to community providers in all areas of services and specialties provided by SightMD within compliance guidelines
• Coordinate and engage in business development events
• Maintain a robust database with pertinent information of all community providers
• Act as liaison between the community and SightMD with the ability to problem solve any issues that may arise
• Required to report into Long Island office once a month to touch base.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, written, verbal, and listening skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Above average customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
• Must hold valid Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation for working Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm in our different locations: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan & Bronx.
• Bilingual Mandarin

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual
• Prior experience with inside/outside sales within the medical industry highly desired

Work Scheduled: Traveling Full Time, Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
