About Us: Community Action Marin is dedicated to lifting those in need and creating lasting change in our community. As a Chief Development Officer (CDO) with us, you'll play a pivotal role in securing donors and contributions to ensure the longevity of our mission.

Job Summary: As our CDO, you'll lead the charge in developing and implementing strategies to diversify our revenue streams, inspire philanthropy both internally and externally, and foster a culture of excellence in donor relations and fundraising.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Craft and execute a strategic Fund Development Plan to secure contributions from various sources.
• Cultivate a culture of philanthropy within our organization and community.
• Guide our Leadership Team in meeting fund development targets.
• Maintain ethical fundraising standards and accountability to donors.
• Foster strong relationships with our board and lead fundraising efforts.
• Manage major donor portfolios and lead key fundraising initiatives.
• Utilize multi-channel fundraising approaches to drive growth.
• Oversee donor database management and engagement strategies.
• Coordinate donor meetings and engage board members in fundraising activities.
• Implement systems and procedures to enhance fund development efficiency.

Qualifications

• Passion for our mission is essential.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; additional credentials in fundraising or related fields desirable.
• Minimum ten years of senior development experience.
• Strong marketing, communications, and people management skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Exceptional project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with fundraising software, such as Raiser's Edge, is a plus.
• Nonprofit leadership experience preferred.

Includes:

• Hybrid work schedule.
• Competitive salary range: $180,000 - $225,000.
