Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with community college partners to promote and highlight Delta State University programs covered by Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community college stakeholders, including faculty and staff, to effectively promote Delta State University programs.
    • Conduct regular meetings with community college faculty to educate them about the pathways and opportunities available to their students at Delta State University.
    • Serve as an articulation adviser, providing guidance to students regarding the applicability of their community college coursework at Delta State University within the framework of the MOUs.
    • Work closely with the Transfer Recruiter to facilitate the recruitment of community college students, ensuring all admission paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
    • Attend and represent Delta State University at community college events, transfer fairs, and relevant outreach activities with the Transfer Recruiter.
    • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the academic and administrative aspects of both Delta State University and partner community colleges.
    • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting community college students.
    • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in higher education, especially related to transfer and articulation agreements.






    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
    • Knowledge of academic advising and transfer processes in higher education.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

    Salary:
    12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and universitys resources.
