    JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

    Responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing including managing the members of the marketing team, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops relationships throughout the community to increase awareness of hospice and promote utilization of ONE COMMUNITY HOSPICE services.
    • Develops a comprehensive marketing plan for assigned territory that meets budgetary and growth expectations.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with healthcare professionals and/or organizations to facilitate patient access to hospice services.
    • Organizes call schedule for assigned territory and provides weekly report to the Direct Supervisor of results oriented goal attainment.
    • Establishes and develops a networking plan to promote hospice services and create concentric circles of influence in the ONE COMMUNITY HOSPICE healthcare community.
    • Ensures positive referral to admission outcomes for patients, families, and referral services.
    • Establishes regular communication with current referral sources to maintain and develop relationships.
    • Develops and maintains a database for community and professional contacts.
    • Represents the organization in community events, increasing awareness of ONE COMMUNITY HOSPICE services.
    • Communicates and collaborates with clinical team members to facilitate admissions to hospice services.
    • Accurately communicates clinical and operational needs to the Direct Supervisor.
    • Performs other duties and activities as delegated by the Executive Director.
    • Plans and implements inservice and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of contracted partners.
    • Assists with the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement program. Assures for the quality and safe delivery of hospice services provided through the Organization.
    • Assists in the development of Community Relations department goals.
    • Ensures the hospice program maintains compliance with all federal and state regulatory and licensure requirements in the promotion of ONE COMMUNITY HOSPICE services.
    • Complies with all provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
    • Adhere to the provisions of ONE COMMUNITY HOSPICE's ethical standards, guidelines, and corporate compliance plan.
    • Models and exemplifies the highest ethical standards in all activities and interactions as a member of the ONE COMMUNITY HOSPICE leadership team.
    • Maintains an acceptable work record.
    • Accepts responsibility for behavior and activity.
    • Follows organization guidelines in practice of: (a) Infection Control (b) Fire/Safety (c) Patient Care Standards
    • Interacts collaboratively with all team members.
    • Completes CPR program annually.
    • Fire/Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control, Ethics, and performance improvement programs are attended annually.
    • Attends inservices and identifies self-learning goals.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, Masters degree preferred.
    • At least three (3) years experience in healthcare marketing management preferably in hospice care operations.
    • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
    • Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
    • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
