Position Purpose: Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, the Community Relations Specialist covers assigned area by representing the facility to people, departments and organizations in a position to refer patients to the hospital.
Position Reports To: Director of Business Development Position Supervises: None Interpersonal Relationships: As a representative of Springwoods Behavioral Health, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the Facility’s image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Licenses or Certifications: Current Arkansas Driver’s License. Total education, vocational training and experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of three years of marketing or sales required, which must have included healthcare marketing. A combination of related education and experience may be substituted .
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills to communicate in a clear and concise manner with the media, community groups and leaders, public, patients, referral sources, and administration. Agile in identifying customer needs and strategic opportunities.
2. Ability to represent the facility to a wide range of people and organizations in a positive manner. 3. Must have ability to assist in the implementation of marketing programs and strategies.
4. Skill sets to function in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
5. Conversant with major Healthcare issues and trends
6. Competent at developing and maintaining customer relationships within all types of accounts.
7. Proficient with computer presentations, including healthcare information and financial analysis.
