SUMMARY
Assists in coordination of marketing activities in advertising, promotion, sales, research, public relations, and community involvement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- Six months of banking or marketing, advertising, art communications or public relations experience
- Must have great interpersonal skills
- Must be able to speak in a public setting
- Proficient computer operation skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Great telephone and customer service skills
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates & plans for financial institution participation in community events and Bank hosted events
- Engages Bank employees to build cohesion in the market and gain volunteer support for Bank hosted events.
- Attends local ribbon cuttings, open houses, etc to represent the bank.
- Assist in administration of promotional campaigns, deposit incentives, call program, etc.
- Plans and implements research gathering and information projects relating to competitive analyses, demographics, products and services usage, customer satisfaction, etc. products and service usage, customer satisfaction, etc.
- Maintains schedules and tracking for all media campaigns and promotional materials for department meetings
- Prepares local marketing schedule and coordinates with corporate marketing to get marketing to print
- Communicates marketing schedule and community relations activities to market
- Corresponds with faculty, staff, and students of the local school system(s) in response to School Bank, educational programs and apprenticeship programs
- Acts as Director of local “Our School Bank” program
- Acts as Director of local “Junior Board of Directors” program
- Maintains accounting for budgetary expenses in bank hosted programs.
- Adhere to all security procedures and follow operational bulletins
- Maintain basic knowledge of banking products and services
- Must look for opportunities to strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new relationships by understanding customers’ needs while considering perspectives and priorities of different customers
- Make referrals to other areas of the bank
- Assist other staff in serving customers, answering telephones and performing other duties as necessary
- Utilize bank programs such as customer management and sales tools
- Participate and help branch achieve sales goals to maximize success
- Responsible for other duties as assigned in local bank capacity
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
TRAVEL
This position requires up to 50% travel.
