As an extension of our marketing and outreach efforts, we feel community relations is an essential for building relationships, creating opportunities and establishing connections. Our team connects to the community at large while also assisting adults and their families through their journey in discovering resources and choices as they age. As ambassadors of Jennings, community relations staff will help families navigate through choices in residences and services in an entire continuum of care and lead them through an admissions process. Successful candidates are creative, flexible and motivated to connect with individuals in the greater community, but this is "work of the heart," so you must also be respectful and compassionate.

Responsibilities for a Community Relations/Marketing Associate:

• Do you have the heart for community relations? Some highlights of this role include:

  • Researching and building relationships with community and professional resources.
  • Planning, coordinating and attending events to represent Jennings.
  • Developing creative approaches for community outreach.
  • Learning and representing the various residences and services offered by the organization.
  • Leading the consumer through the discovery and admissions journey.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary staff to best support prospective residents.

Requirements for a Community Relations/Marketing Associate:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing or related field
• Demonstrated experience in community relations or marketing
• Must have excellent writing and computer skills
• Requires a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for local travel
• Must be comfortable in interpersonal relationships, networking with other professionals, and public speaking
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
