The Volunteer Behavioral Health Team is now seeking a Community Support Specialist in the Hendersonville/Gallatin Area.
(This position will cover all of Sumner Co-Providing support and resources for tornado victims)
Starting Pay: $17.00PH
(Remote-Community) (1 Saturday a month required)
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Strong clinical background. Able to maintain a courteous, diplomatic, and helpful orientation. Knowledgeable of commitment procedures. Knowledgeable of resources. Timely, accurate and thorough documentation of client records as well as work activities. Able to use good judgment and function well in pressure situations.
Must have reliable transportation as the is primarily community based.
Agrees to follow all applicable laws and regulations, including VBHCS Standards of Conduct and VBHCS Policies and Procedures, in order to create and maintain a healthcare business environment that is committed to integrity and ethical conduct
EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist Sr Director of the Crisis System with oversight of services for the Tennessee Recovery Project (TRP)
2. Liaison with community partners, first responders, and law enforcement to build community relationships.
3. Maintain logs and required data for reports. Complete evaluations and data entry in an efficient manner to meet standards.
4. Knowledge of computer skills to be able to search and enter data in the electronic record system.
5. Complete all data entry according to quality management standards and procedures.
6. Maintain and update equipment as needed.
7. Maintain and update community resources and information.
8. Conduct community outreach for assigned counties including attending events, festivals, health department meetings, etc where resources can be shared with the counties covered by the TRP.
9. Conduct follow up calls with individuals contacting the Disaster Hotline within 24 hours.
