As a Service Technician with Nebraska Harvest Center, you will work in the shop to troubleshoot and repair machines to each customer’s satisfaction. This involves removing, installing, disassembling and assembling, and performing failure analyses on all CLAAS equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, electronic and computer applications, heating and air conditioning (HVAC). You should expect to use various manufacturing systems to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems, and research problems. You will also perform machinery inspections as well set-ups and adjustments.

About You

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional training/college education a plus).
• Ag Diesel Technology experience highly desirable
• 2 years’ experience in a field service technician/engineering role working on agricultural equipment
• Prior experience in troubleshooting methods and tools required
• Must provide personal tools
• Working knowledge of CLAAS parts, a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret parts and machine schematics.
• Ability to travel within region and to be able to work with limited supervision
• Must be self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and a strong willingness to learn
• Farm background desirable
• Ability to safely operate large machinery
• Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail
• Possess or ability to obtain medical card if needed
• Have a clean driving record
