Compliance Analyst (Banking) monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking) reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking) may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compliance Analyst (Banking) work is closely managed. The Compliance/Technical Regulations Analyst - Materials (TRA) is responsible to develop and implement communication strategies including training programs to share product compliance information with engineering, supply chain management, and other Corporate support groups, as well as customers and suppliers.
The TRA is responsible to inform affected stakeholder and helps to assess the impact on their operations.
▪ Develop and implementation of programs to ensure product compliance with existing and developing global restricted substance regulations including European Union ROHS, European Union REACH, European Union WEEE, US Conflict Minerals, California Prop 65, and chemical management systems such as US TSCA and respond to customer requests.
▪ Participate in external authorities and association meetings to identify, understand, contribute to, and predict future relevant Legal Technical Regulations (LTRs) and applicable National and/ or International Standards
▪ Advocate for the Continental Position in the respective authorities and association meetings
▪ Inform affected stakeholder and enable them to assess the impact on their operations
▪ Align the official Continental Position by moderating the discussion between the contributing Experts and Stakeholder
▪ Initiate IMDS and labeling of products
▪ Develop Common Interpretation together with relevant technical Experts
▪ Optionally request support for clarification (e.g. legal implications between various regions) by a Continental Legal Counsel and/ or further Technical Regulations Experts on technical issues
▪ Provide Common Interpretation in Central Database
▪ Support the Technical Regulations Manager TRM(M) to scan defined technical compliance relevant data sources and identify new and upcoming publications with relevance for Continental
▪ Support the TRM(M) to identify relevant LTRs and applicable National and International Standards for Continental
▪ Support the TRM(M) to make the national language edition available in addition to an English version in the Central Database
▪ Support other TRA's to evaluate the relevance of LTR/ Standard for Group Sector/ BA product portfolio in alignment with Continental Legal Council (Global Law Department), affected Segments/ Markets/ Products and/ or Projects (optionally incl. a specific interpretation)
Education / Certification
Academic Degree Engineering or adaquate experience in Chemistry
Professional Experience
▪ > 5 years working experience in the area of Expertise contributing to Material
▪ Acknowledged Expertise in the analysis and creation of LTRs/ Standards dealing with Product Safety/ Product Conformity/Product Environmental Compliance or related field
Project and/or Process Experience
Varity of Product, Project and Process experience is appreciated
Leadership Experience
Communication with Impact towards decision makers, Authorities, Associations, Customers, Supplier
Intercultural / International Experience
▪ Ability to communicate and collaborate on international stages representing Continental
▪ Advanced Business English, good and global legal understanding
