POSITION SUMMARY

The Compliance Coordinator facilitates training and education; monitoring, auditing, and improvement planning; and procurement and logistics management related to local, state, and federal regulations, grants, and/or YMCA policies. The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for conducting thorough program compliance evaluations, improvement action planning, and follow-up assessment. The coordinator is responsible for following federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines and ensuring site and staff documentation and paperwork are maintained. The Coordinator supports compliance with grants, Child Nutrition Programs, and Child Care Licensing, Sanitation, Fire, and Building requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Conduct monitoring and technical assistance visits to program locations as assigned and accurately complete associated reports and forms.
• Assist sites in developing improvement action plans based upon completed monitoring visits.
• Ensure that each program location maintains compliance with applicable record retention requirements.
• Conduct audits of record retention systems as assigned to ensure ongoing compliance with grant and regulatory requirements.
• Review and process records submitted by program staff for approval.
• Provide on-going training on compliance requirements and management strategies to program staff.
• Support procurement and logistics activities as assigned to ensure programs maintain compliance with requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • An associates degree is preferred
• 1 year of relevant professional experience
• Meet strength and lifting requirements regularly lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to pass the NCDHHS background check
• Experience with managing regulatory or grant compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills related to handling documents and related paperwork
• Professional demeanor and exceptional interpersonal skills
