We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Duties
- Perform blood sampling through venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures to ensure effective communication with healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient interactions.
- Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any concerns or questions regarding the blood collection process.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area.
Experience
- Proven experience in specimen collection processing, particularly in blood sampling techniques.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to venipuncture procedures.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of patient care practices and the ability to work empathetically with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
