Key Responsibilities of a Compounding Pharmacy Technician:
As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting our pharmacy operations by performing both general pharmacy technician duties and specialized compounding tasks. Responsibilities include:
- Compounding Medications: Prepare pellets, capsules, and other compounded formulations with precision and care.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold all federal, state, and local laws while building positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.
- Patient Assistance: Greet patients and providers in person and by phone, addressing questions and requests and referring clinical inquiries to the pharmacist as needed.
- Patient Education: Support patients in understanding their medications and encourage medication adherence.
- Account Management: Use pharmacy software systems (PK Software, FYIRx, ITRx) to manage patient accounts efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inventory counts and work with the compounding team to ensure all necessary supplies are ordered in advance.
- Vendor Coordination: Assist the pharmacist with vendor account management and invoice processing.
- Office Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, efficient environment by adhering to all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Order Organization & Dispensing: Accurately enter prescriptions, prepare labels, fill orders, calculate quantities, and prepare items for shipping.
- Record Maintenance: Keep accurate patient records and document all communications with patients and providers.
- Timely Medication Delivery: Coordinate with patients and pharmacy departments to ensure prompt delivery of medications.

Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with valid certification

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
