Summary

Carolina Cat & Sitech Horizon is seeking to hire a Professional GPS Machine Control Modeler for its N.C. operations. Candidates will be Modeling Civil Engineering projects of all types while interacting with a variety of clients.

Essential Functions

• Using TBC and Microsoft Excel to complete projects
• Work and participate in a highly collaborative team environment
• Coordinating with clients on their specific project needs
• Mentoring junior engineers and PLS
• Completing constructible Models for various civil engineering projects
• Interacting with a wide range of individuals
• Oversee the development of each project to ensure it meets specifications
• Digitally transfer project data to applicable Machines and Controllers on customer job sites
• Willing to travel
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• At least 1 year of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, and/or Trimble Business Center (TBC)
• At least 5 years’ experience in Land Development Design
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS)
• Experience in the Charlotte, NC region preferred
• Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals
• Team oriented
