Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer programs and sets up CNC milling, lathe, or other machinery according to blueprint specifications. Reads and interprets technical blueprints and design models and inputs the product design into the computer modeling software. Being a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer adjusts machine settings to the desired product specifications, and troubleshoots and maintains the machine. Utilizes G or M code and CAM software (MasterCAM,CAMWorks or others). Additionally, Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer tests accuracy of settings and programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Computer Numeric Control Machine Programmer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Implement and automate existing manual process, to create CRF by creating new database objects in SQL and macro in excel. Play key role in developing and installing software and systems. Maximize Information Management efficiency. Develop and maintain the programming logic for existing & new instrument installation & integration of the Process Control System including point allocation for I/O; loop diagram generation and submittal for formal drawings; field coordination with electrical contractors during conduit/wire pulls, initial start-up and calibration of unit; point verification of feedback and I/O configuration. Lead and educate other team members on the programming and maintenance of the Process Control Systems including troubleshooting; graphics generation; production operator input; scheduling, testing & documentation of critical instruments and administrative management. Provide upgrades to the HMI controls of the equipment as identified by operators & engineering. Develop and maintain all systems tracking upgrades and other changes to the Process Control System.
