Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Computer Network Support Specialist / Help Desk Support Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our infrastructure and providing high-level support to our clients. Following an initial training period, the position will transition to a hybrid format, allowing for a combination of remote and on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications problems.
Resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
Conduct remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions to clients.
Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams.
Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.
Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance.
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or similar role with at least 3 years in a technical support position.
In-depth knowledge of computer systems, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficient with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments; ability to manage administration and troubleshoot in a mixed environment.
Experience with network security practices and anti-virus programs.
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk).
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network , Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are highly desirable.
