Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. We are currently looking to hire an Assistant Construction Superintendent for the Green Bay, Wisconsin area.

    Job Summary

    The Assistant Construction Superintendent assists in the coordination of all site construction activities and supervision of all field personnel as required to successfully complete projects on schedule, in accordance with the Plans and Scopes of Work, and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. Reports to the Construction Superintendent and VP of Operations.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Assist with coordination and supervision on all construction activities.
    • Assist in the direction all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans, specifications and Scopes of Work.
    • Maintains construction schedule, identifying and solving problems as needed.
    • Assists with insuring homes are complete, punched out, clean and have an occupancy permit prior to orientation and delivery as scheduled.
    • Assists with ordering materials and scheduling inspections as necessary throughout the process.
    • Learns, understands and insures compliance with the project plans, specifications, Scopes of Work, and Apple Tree, LLC Systems.
    • Monitor construction processes - identify areas of improvement and work with the Construction Superintendent, Vice President of Operations or subcontractor to improve systems and efficiency.
    • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
    • Assist with preparing, scheduling and supervising completion of a final punch list.
    • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
    • Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
    • Assist in maintaining an organized job site, including the construction office.
    • Conduct occasional tours with Buyers during the construction process and Homeowner Orientations with new Homeowners prior to closing.
    • Conducts warranty walk-throughs with Homeowners and coordinates needed repairs.

    Education and Experience

    • 4-yr college degree preferred but not required. Desirable study concentration in construction management.
    • 1 year of successful Project Management/Expediting experience with a production residential or multi-family builder desirable but not necessary
    • 3 years of construction experience as laborer or foreman on a construction site
    • Basic computer skills including: email, internet, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and web-based applications.

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
