We design and perform foundation stabilization repairs, foundation waterproofing, structural repairs and drainage improvements for residential and commercial structures in the Charleston-Huntington area.
Job Description: We are a small but growing construction and engineering company seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion, as well as playing a crucial role in managing personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors and clients to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to multiple projects to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and performance.
- Assist senior management in hiring, as well as disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary.
- Train and mentor personnel to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
- Conduct regular performance and evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Construction Operations Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and personnel management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to haul a trailer with equipment.
- Ability to drive a non-CDL dump truck with manual transmission.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
