Construction Representative Assistant jobs in Brentwood, NY

Bancker Construction, one of New York’s premier utility and heavy civil construction contractors, is looking for enthusiastic, energetic, business-minded Assistant Estimating/ Project Manager candidates to join our team at our state-of-the-art Islip, Long Island-based headquarters. Bancker was founded more than 100 years ago and has been family owned and operated for over 65 years.

We are an infrastructure contractor whose roots are in water and gas main/service installations, sewer, electric and telephone subsurface installations, concrete construction and roadway restorations.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years construction estimating and/or APM experience and should have knowledge of construction drawings and performing take-offs; be motivated, organized, possess strong writing and verbal communication skills; work well as a team member; and be interested in engaging in the bidding and management of utility and subsurface construction projects.

Candidates will work with long-tenured, senior staff and will be trained to perform various estimating and project management functions, including but not limited to:

• Perform Estimating and Bid-related roles (e.g. take-offs, attend pre-bid meetings, etc.)
• Prepare Project Schedules, Track job progress and prepare project-related documentation
• Attend internal team meetings and external customer meetings
• Assist Project Managers with project administration (e.g. Collect/Track/Process field paperwork; coordinate with field management)
• Perform project billing and correspondence functions
• Draft AutoCAD drawings for as-built submissions to customers

Compensation:

Anticipated base salary range of $75k-100k, commensurate with experience.
