Job Title: Construction Jobsite Superintendent

Reporting To: Project Manager

Location: Jasper, Indiana (Jobsites will be within Southern Indiana)

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Compensation: Compensation will be in line with experience

Primary Function

The Construction Jobsite Superintendent will oversee all phases of construction to ensure successful project completion. This role requires effective personnel management of all on-site staff and subcontractors, collaboration with the project team for planning and execution, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise and manage the complete construction effort to align with design and quality standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site activities and functions.
• Provide technical assistance including interpreting drawings, recommending construction methods, and equipment needs.
• Support the Project Manager with project planning and execution.
• Maintain employee time sheets and daily reports.
• Conduct site safety meetings and ensure adherence to company safety standards.
• Lead pre-installation meetings with subcontractors.
• Resolve jobsite disputes efficiently.
• Manage labor, subcontractor performance, scheduling, specification conformance, and quality control.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Trade-specific background or post-secondary education in a construction-related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred.

Work Experience & Skills

• On-site experience in institutional, commercial, or industrial construction.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, assembling phasing plans, and scheduling.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive logistics plans and effective site management.
• Understanding of complex building systems, including earthwork, utilities, foundations, structural systems, building envelope, MEP installations, and finish work.
