The Consumer Insights Analyst II assists in developing and conducting focus groups, surveys, competitor intelligence studies, and industry research to support product development, category/brand management and marketing or sales initiatives. Analyzes customer and consumer data and research to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights. Being a Consumer Insights Analyst II performs data collection, input, and aggregation processes to develop and maintain research databases. Uses market research and statistical methodologies and tools to perform analysis. In addition, Consumer Insights Analyst II requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor.     Job Description

    The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.

    In a highly confidential capacity, serve as Executive Administrative Assistant to the Division Director/Business Relationship Manager (BRM) of the Technology & Database Support division. Perform management assistant and executive secretarial duties including writing and reviewing materials related to supporting client business goals and objectives. Organize and manage manual and automated data files. Assist in human resource and performance evaluation activities as the DTMB Agency Services supporting DHHS Technology & Database Support liaison. Perform duties with minimum supervision according to the Division Director’s direction and departmental policies.


    Position Location/Remote Office:
    The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

    Required Education and Experience

    Education
    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

    Experience
    Five years of administrative support experience where use of a personal computer to prepare correspondence, reports, charts, etc., or to enter/retrieve/update information is an essential part of the work, including two years equivalent to advanced (8) level administrative support work, Secretary E8, or Legal Secretary E8; or, one year equivalent to a Secretary 9, Legal Secretary 9, or Senior Executive Management Assistant 9.

    Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

    Paid Holidays: Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.

    Bonus Programs: Eligible employees with five years of service also receive annual longevity bonuses that grow as seniority increases. Some positions also may qualify for recruitment, retention, and performance bonuses or other special pay premiums.

    Military Pay Differential: Employees in the guard or reserves may also qualify for supplemental pay benefits if miliary pay during qualifying duty is less than normal state pay. Prior military service may also allow seniority credits to accelerate eligibility for longevity bonuses and additional personal leave accrual.
