To assist current and potential members with their Credit Union financial needs; explains services, interviews applicants for loan application, processes loan request for decision. Funds and closes loan with loan applicants, collects underwriting stipulations, gathers complete and accurate title work for lien perfection. This role does not have lending authority. Position is hourly plus commission; commissions paid monthly.
Interviews loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
Explains loan options to members, evaluates their needs, recommends loan options and presents ancillary products available for that specific loan type.
Processes and prepares all loan documents for decision. Answers questions about products and services, and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
Presents and explains features and benefits to loan ancillary products and services.
Complete accurate title work document procurement for the purpose of lien perfection.
Funds approved loan and closes explaining the terms and conditions to the member.
Meet or exceeds loan dollar, referral / cross-selling, and ancillary product goals each month.
Other duties as assigned.
Must have availability Monday-Friday, some weeknights until 7:00pm, and alternating Saturdays 8:00am - 2:00pm.

To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
To ensure all documentation is completed accurately within the required time allotment.
To meet the referral and loan dollar goal each month.
To meet or exceed ancillary product goals monthly.
To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience - Two or more years of similar or related experience.
Education - At least a high school education or GED
Interpersonal Skills - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Bilingual Preferred but not required.
