Consumer Loan Officer jobs in Hayward, CA
Consumer Loan Officer develops and services consumer loans. Interviews loan applicants to determine financing needs and to offer the appropriate loan products and repayment arrangements. Being a Consumer Loan Officer evaluates loan applications and applicant creditworthiness. Once a loan is approved and negotiated, monitors loan payments, and provides customer service to ensure the borrower's questions are answered and needs are met, and that the loan is repaid appropriately. Additionally, Consumer Loan Officer maintains accurate and thorough records, and follows all applicable organizational, state, and federal policies and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Consumer Loan Officer works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. In the Role
- Deliver results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations

- Educate customers on the terms and conditions of their loan to ensure a clear understanding
- Partner with local businesses to seek out and develop new customers
- Learn how to utilize credit underwriting techniques and sales tools
- Manage the life cycle of the loan, including collections activities, complying with all laws and regulations
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED
Preferred:
- Sales, Collections or Customer Service experience
- Bilingual - Spanish
Location: On site
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday during standard business hours, with some extended hours during the week as needed which may include Saturday.
Target base salary range is $19.00-$23.00, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
