Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager/Head Butcher to oversee the daily operations of our meat processing plant. The ideal candidate will have 10–20 years of experience in meat processing and management, with a deep understanding of butchering techniques, quality control, and staff leadership. As the General Manager/Head Butcher, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and leading a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the meat processing plant, including production, quality control, inventory management, and staff supervision. Manage and mentor a team of butchers and support staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of performance and safety. Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to quality standards. Monitor and maintain compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and operational efficiency. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality meat products and negotiate favorable terms. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to product quality or service. Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations. Qualifications: Minimum of 10–20 years of experience in meat processing, with a strong background in butchering and plant management. Proven experience in managing teams, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of meat processing techniques, food safety regulations, and quality control procedures. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using meat processing equipment and technology. Familiarity with budgeting and financial management.
