Consumer Loan Processor performs administrative tasks for loan processing. Collects and prepares necessary information required by each loan type and purpose to process and complete loan files. Being a Consumer Loan Processor verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness. Tracks and monitors due dates. Additionally, Consumer Loan Processor ensures all documents are prepared and finalized in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Inputs and maintains all required transaction and processing records according to procedures. Responds to inquiries. Prepares required regulatory reporting. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Consumer Loan Processor works under moderate supervision. Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide information on credit union products and services to members and stake holders in accordance with credit union policies and procedures and State and Federal rules and regulations; obtain information/documentation for the loan process and loan applicants’ credit history, interact with members or dealers when additional information is needed; perform other member service transactions. *75% of this team member’s job is devoted to Home Equity Loans; the remaining time is in the Indirect Lending area. Acts as back up to Consumer Loan Processor whose primary function is in Indirect Lending area.
